Student & Parent Career Awareness Sessions | Teacher Sensitisation Sessions

Structured Career Counselling Programme | Ongoing Support and School Partnership

  • 1. Student Awareness Sessions

We conduct grade-wise career awareness programmes designed to meet students where they are in their journey.

    Middle School | Classes 8 and 9

Exploration and Awareness - At this stage, the focus is on helping students:

    • Develop self-awareness

    • Explore interests and strengths

    • Understand the changing world of careers

    • Build curiosity without pressure

*Sessions are interactive and reflective, helping students become aware of possibilities before choices become compulsory.

    Secondary School | Classes 10 and 11

Stream, Subject, and Career Direction - For students approaching key academic decisions, sessions focus on:

    • Understanding stream and subject choices

    • Linking interests and abilities to possible career paths

    • Addressing confusion, comparison, and external pressure

    • Supporting informed decision-making

*These sessions help students and parents move from uncertainty to clarity.

    Senior School | Classes 11 and 12

Career Streamlining and Preparation - For senior students, the focus shifts to readiness and direction, including:

    • Understanding career pathways in depth

    • Entrance examinations and requirements

    • Application timelines and planning

    • Profile building and preparation

    2. Parent Awareness Sessions

We also conduct sessions for parents to help them:

    • Understand today’s evolving career landscape

    • Support their child without pressure

    • Make informed decisions together

    • Gain clarity through the COMPAS system, a six-step journey to career clarity

*These sessions help reduce anxiety and build alignment between parents and students.

    3. Teacher Sensitisation Sessions

Short, focused sessions for teachers help them:

    • Understand student strengths beyond marks

    • Recognise signs of career confusion or stress

    • Support students during key decision phases

*This strengthens the school’s internal support system.

  • For schools looking to offer deeper individual support, Aspire Roots provides structured career counselling programmes that combines research-backed psychometric assessments with personalised one-to-one guidance.

The assessment helps students understand their :

    • Interests

    • Aptitude

    • Personality Patterns

    • Work-Style Orientation

These insights are then explored in personalised counselling sessions with the student and parents. The sessions focus on:

    • Interpreting assessment outcomes clearly

    • Exploring suitable career options

    • Clarifying academic and career direction

    • Addressing doubts and concerns

All sessions are conducted in a supportive, non-judgemental manner, helping students and families make informed decisions with confidence.

  • For schools seeking deeper integration and consistent career guidance, Aspire Roots offers an in-school career support model through a dedicated career counsellor placed on a contractual basis.

Under this model, a trained Aspire Roots counsellor becomes part of the school ecosystem and works closely with students, parents, and school leadership.

    The role may include:

    •  Administering psychometric assessments

    • Conducting one-to-one career counselling sessions with students and parents

    • Facilitating periodic career awareness and guidance sessions for students

    • Being available on campus for parent interactions and follow-ups

    • Supporting students during key academic and career decision phases

This model allows schools to offer continuous, accessible career guidance without relying on one-time interventions. Students receive ongoing support, parents have a clear point of contact, and schools benefit from a structured, professional career guidance system embedded within the school.
